The last band Rockin the Joint www.rockinthejoint.co.uk at the 42nd Great Dorset Steam Fair http playing their final number , Carl Perkins – Matchbox , in the real ale marquee , after 9 nights of the music festival part of the show , the dancers and music fans still call for more when the song ends . This English fair is held at the village of Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford Forum Dorset .It is now widely recognised as The National Heritage Show as well as being regarded as the leading show of its type in the World. The spectacle covers an enormous showground, at over 600 acres being one of Europe’s largest outdoor event locations. If its heritage related, you’ll find it at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Each year they assemble probably the largest collection of steam and vintage equipment to be seen anywhere in the World and take visitors on a giant trip of nostalgia into the days of yesteryear. Everything that was great in British engineering can be seen, it really is a look back at our wonderful heritage when Great Britain was workshop to the world. This is the very last kit I finished before the end of 2009.. Kit Rating: 8 / 10 (No gullwing, canopy was badly damaged and scratched, but otherwise not a bad kit) Decal Rating: 9 / 10 (Decals bent, the sheet had a hole in it, but that aside they were fine) The North Essex Mystery Christmas Swap kit Competition of 2009 – 2010. This is the kit I drew from the pile.. not a bad kit at all, better than the one I got last year.. Just a shame about the canopy!! The kit had to be built in time for the January meeting, (third Monday of the month) so just for once I completed it in plenty of time… Music from Incompetech, I believe…
