The Mercedes-Benz W209 cars have been produced since 2002. They are sold under the CLK-Class model names. The W209 is based on the W203 C-Class. It replaced the C208 CLK-Class after 2004 which were the first car to carry the CLK moniker. re: the filler, The left front fender had been resprayed at some point. If he hadn’t pointed out some sanding scratches, I would have missed it. This is a nice original car, even the ac works. It was garaged, so the lenses and dashpad are nice. Overall I’d say it’s in the condition of a 5 or 6 year old car(and it’s my age). It did need a fuel line right away, but rubber fuel system parts deteriorate on cars that sit. LOVE all that wood, stuff used to be made so much cooler. This was a real treat, thanks dude! Our train leaves the last station at 2nd and Market Street in Center City and proceeds to exit the tunnel with a 90 degree turn toward the North and proceeds on rails created during the building of the I-95 Interstate Highway and passes beneath the Vine Street connector to the Crosstown Expressway. We are now headed toward the Northern Terminus at Bridge & Pratt Streets at which is located the shops and storage areas for the spare trains as is the complex at 69th Street in West Philadelphia. At this time, most work has been completed on the northern section of the elevated structure which includes the deck, track, roadbed, switches, also the stations and signal equipment. This ride will not show many of the improvements which can be seen on today’s ride-alongs that are shot using sophisticated digital camera equipment. The newer trains and the recent video clips will show more than these older captures, which do not do proper justice to the extensive work on this line and it’s stations. These clips are for a tribute to the Budd ‘almond joy’ cars which everyone came to either love or hate, as they ran from 1961 till their recent replacement with the newer Adtranz rolling stock of today.
