This is MRC’s sound decoder for Kato N scale SD80. Even though MRC doesn’t mention SD90/43MAC anywhere, it works too. Mine is a Canadian Pacific SD90/43MAC. The installation was simple. It’s really a plug N play decoder. I have to admit the sound is very soft, i had to turn off my computer before i could listen to the sound. It has 4 different engine sound. Two of them sounds like older EMDs and one which sounds abit like Alco. Not sure what is the remaining one. *I know SD90/43MAC doesn’t sound like this but i dont care. Having sound in N scale at this price is good enough.

This is the second prime mover option along with a different horn from our first video. The installation is pretty straight forward if you follow the instructions. There is one error on MRC’s diagram as to the where the track power pick up wires go. Just keep the part of the board with the 2 black circles to the rear and hook the left up to the left and the right to the right and you will be good to go.

Its a 4tf. by 4tf. board with a Kato double track set used, in part, to create an outside double line n kind of square in shape) and combining a Kato K1 and V10 15 degree cross-over to make a double loop crossover, inside course, we have three trains, each with its own transformer. All in all, a noisy scene with lots of small layout action.
