his diecast model VW Beetle with Opening Roof (1950) is Perigrau and features working steering, suspension, wheels and also opening bonnet, boot with engine, doors, roof. There was no longer a need for military vehicles, so Hirst resuscitated the Volkswagen project and started production following an order from the British Army for 20000 cars.
